The Nifty50 and Sensex gained after US President Donald Trump downplayed concerns over a prolonged conflict with Iran, easing geopolitical worries among investors.

At 9:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76819.09 up by 248.74 points or by 0.32 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23997.95 up by 83.5 points or by 0.35 %.
