Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty continued to trade lower on Wednesday, tracking weak global market cues and rising crude oil prices amid escalating tensions in West Asia.

At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 76416.59 down by -527.69 points or by -0.69 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23876.1 down by -179.7 points or by -0.75 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 76532.93 and intraday low of 76135.72 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 23882.95 and intraday low of 23786.8

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1662.95,+1.03%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1317.00,+0.74%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1263.95,+0.32%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 265.60,+0.28%), State Bank of India (Rs. 1034.25,+0.08%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were InterGlobe Aviation Ltd. (Rs. 4925.05,-2.58%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 3178.25,-1.98%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1325.70,-1.87%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 403.95,-1.70%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2525.55,-1.66%), among others.
