Indian benchmark indices remained largely flat on Monday afternoon, as gains in realty, metal and IT stocks were offset by losses in PSU banks, oil & gas and infrastructure shares.

At 14:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 78485.64 down by -13.53 points or by -0.02 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24582.45 up by 11.8 points or by 0.05 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 78676.98 and intraday low of 78298.92 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24620.95 and intraday low of 24511.1

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 5070.00,+2.57%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 1099.30,+1.60%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 190.70,+1.44%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2751.60,+1.12%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2024.00,+1.10%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were State Bank of India (Rs. 1074.90,-1.93%), Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 310.25,-1.65%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 339.80,-1.51%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1631.00,-1.15%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 282.40,-1.09%), among others.

Realty index was at 7027.97 up by 116.58 points or by 1.69%. Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 606.70,+4.11%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (Rs. 1941.30,+2.50%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 660.00,+2.33%), Godrej Industries Ltd. (Rs. 2110.00,+1.89%), Lodha Developers Ltd. (Rs. 1227.00,+1.40%),._PSU index was at 20888.82 down by -207.13 points or by -0.98%. The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 4861 , shares advanced were 2363 while 2228 shares declined and 270 were unchanged.
