Steel Exchange India Limited has reported its highest-ever monthly Re-Bar production since inception, with output reaching 24,823.509 Metric Tonnes (MT) in August 2026 at its Rolling Mill.

The record production follows the successful commissioning and operationalisation of the Reheating Furnace (RHF), which has strengthened the company's production capabilities and supported higher utilisation of the Rolling Mill. Of the total August output, 17,358.221 MT was produced through the Continuous Casting Machine (CCM), while the newly operationalised RHF contributed 7,465.288 MT.

The addition of the RHF has increased the company's monthly Re-Bar production capability by approximately 27%, marking a significant expansion in capacity. The company expects the enhanced production capability to be sustained going forward, with the RHF providing an ongoing boost to Re-Bar output.

The operationalisation of the RHF is also expected to support higher production capacity, improved capacity utilisation and greater operational efficiency, enabling the company to cater more effectively to growing demand for its Re-Bar products.

Steel Exchange India said it remains focused on progressively improving capacity utilisation and working towards achieving the full potential of its manufacturing capacities in the coming period, providing scope for sustained growth in production volumes.

The record monthly output highlights the company's continued focus on capacity expansion, operational efficiency and strengthening its manufacturing platform. The higher production capability is expected to support its efforts to scale operations and strengthen its position in the steel manufacturing segment, including through its SIMHADRI TMT brand.

Commenting on the development, the management said achieving the highest-ever monthly Re-Bar production was a significant operational milestone for the company. It added that the successful commissioning and operationalisation of the RHF has increased monthly production capability by approximately 43% and contributed meaningfully to the record output in August. The company expects the enhanced production capability to be sustained and remains focused on improving capacity utilisation, operational efficiency and production volumes while meeting growing demand.
